About the Organization

The Independent Community Bankers Association of New Mexico (ICBA NM) is a statewide trade association representing independent community banks throughout New Mexico. Its mission is to promote and protect the interests of community banks by advocating for sound banking policies, supporting member institutions, and strengthening the role of locally owned banks in serving communities and small businesses.

Policy Goals

ICBA NM typically advocates for state and federal banking regulations that support community banks, including policies related to financial services regulation, small business lending, consumer banking laws, tax policy affecting financial institutions, and opposition to regulatory burdens that disproportionately impact smaller, locally owned banks.
