Independent Women’s Law Center (IWLC) is the legal advocacy arm of the Independent Women’s Forum. Launched in 2019, IWLC brings litigation, amicus briefs, policy analysis, and public advocacy on legal issues affecting women, with an emphasis on equal opportunity, individual liberty, freedom of association, parental rights, due process, and legal recognition of biological sex in law and policy.
Litigation and policy advocacy on sex equality and Title IX, protection of single-sex spaces and women’s athletic opportunities, judicial nominations and originalist constitutional interpretation, freedom of association, parental rights and education policy, and related due-process issues.
Primarily funded through individual donations and foundation grants directed to the Independent Women’s Forum and its projects; supported by private philanthropic contributions from donors aligned with conservative and libertarian policy priorities.
