Indivisible (Virginia members) are local, volunteer-led chapters of the Indivisible movement, a grassroots progressive network founded in 2016 to defend democratic norms and advance progressive policy through constituent advocacy, local organizing, public education, and electoral engagement in Virginia communities.
Typically pursues progressive legislative priorities including protecting voting rights and democratic institutions, expanding access to affordable healthcare, combating climate change, defending reproductive and immigrant rights, promoting campaign finance reform, and using constituent lobbying and voter mobilization to influence elected officials.
Primarily funded by small-donor contributions and grassroots fundraising, supplemented by occasional grants from progressive foundations and volunteer labor.
