Industrial Energy Consumers of America (IECA) is a Washington, D.C.-based, nonpartisan trade association representing large manufacturing companies for which the cost and reliability of energy, power, and feedstock are critical to competitiveness. Founded in 2001, IECA advocates before Congress and federal agencies to promote affordable, reliable energy supplies and policies that support U.S. manufacturing.
IECA focuses on federal energy and environmental policy, including natural gas and electricity markets, energy infrastructure, energy efficiency and cogeneration, commodity markets, climate change regulation, LNG exports, and regulatory oversight by agencies such as FERC, DOE, and EPA.
Primarily funded through membership dues from large industrial and manufacturing companies that are significant energy consumers.
