International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 666

About the Organization

IBEW Local 666 is a local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers that represents electricians, linemen, technicians and related electrical trades in its geographic jurisdiction. The local negotiates collective bargaining agreements, administers benefits and pension participation for members, operates apprenticeship and training programs, advocates for workplace safety and labor standards, and provides member services and community engagement on behalf of its membership.

Policy Goals

Collective bargaining and contract enforcement; wages, benefits and pension protections; apprenticeship, journeyman training and workforce development; workplace safety and occupational health; support for prevailing wage laws, project labor agreements and public infrastructure investment; positions on energy, utility regulation and construction policy as they affect union jobs and standards.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues, initiation fees and assessments; may also receive voluntary member contributions for local political activity and coordinate with affiliated union political committees for electoral or legislative campaigns.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) international organization, affiliated AFL-CIO labor bodies, local and regional Building Trades Councils, joint apprenticeship and training committees (JATCs) and contractors associations such as local chapters of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
