About the Organization

The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) is a U.S.-based trade association representing foodservice distribution companies and their supplier partners; it advances the interests of distributors through advocacy, industry research, education, training, and development of best practices to support safe, efficient and sustainable foodservice supply chains.

Policy Goals

Typically pursues policies affecting food safety and traceability, supply chain and transportation regulation, workforce development and labor issues, tax and trade policy, public procurement and contracting, regulatory compliance and relief for distributors, and sustainability and food waste reduction initiatives.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues from distributor and supplier member companies, sponsorships and exhibit fees, events and conferences, and revenue from fee-based programs and publications.

Affiliates

National Restaurant Association, Food Marketing Institute, National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, state and regional distributor associations, and major industry members such as Sysco and US Foods.
