About the Organization

The Iowa Bankers Association (IBA), founded in 1887, is a statewide trade association representing Iowa’s banking industry. It serves as the primary advocate for Iowa banks at the state and federal levels and provides members with compliance assistance, education and training, marketing support, insurance and mortgage services, and government relations resources. Its mission is to contribute to the success of its member banks and strengthen the financial services industry in Iowa.

Policy Goals

Banking and financial services regulation, state and federal legislative advocacy, regulatory compliance, tax policy, economic development, consumer finance laws, and industry-related workforce and education initiatives

Funding

Membership dues from Iowa banks and associate members, fees for services and programs, and affiliated political action committee fundraising
