About the Organization

Justice + Joy National Collaborative is a Portland, Oregon–based nonprofit that advances social, economic, and political justice with and for girls, young women, and gender‑expansive young people of color through advocacy, organizing, research, leadership development, and national convenings; the organization was formed through the reinvention of the historic National Crittenton network.

Policy Goals

Youth and juvenile justice reform, gender‑based violence prevention and survivor supports, racial equity and anti‑racism policy, reproductive and sexual health access for young people, education and economic opportunity for girls and young women of color, youth civic engagement and voting access, supports for young parents and family wellbeing

Funding

Primarily funded by foundation and philanthropic grants, philanthropic intermediaries, government program grants and contracts, and individual donations

Affiliates

National Crittenton / Crittenton agencies network, Grantmakers for Girls of Color, Girls Equity Coalition, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (fiscal sponsorship relationships on some initiatives), senior leaders including President Jeannette Pai‑Espinosa
