The Kansas Association of Conservation Districts (KACD) is a statewide organization representing Kansas’s 105 local conservation districts. Its mission is to promote and support locally led conservation of soil, water, and other natural resources through education, advocacy, partnerships, and coordination of conservation programs across the state.
Soil and water conservation, natural resource management, agricultural best practices, watershed protection, state funding for conservation districts, and implementation of the Kansas Water Plan and related conservation programs.
Primarily funded through contributions, including support associated with member conservation districts and related grants and program revenue.
Kansas conservation districts in all 105 counties, Kansas Department of Agriculture Division of Conservation, National Association of Conservation Districts, and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
