LGBTQ SAVES is a Fort Worth, Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2010, that provides safe, affirming spaces and support services for LGBTQ youth ages 12–24. The organization runs weekly in-person and virtual meetings, family programs, suicide-prevention training, scholarship awards, and community events intended to reduce isolation, build leadership, and improve mental health outcomes for queer and trans young people.
Typically supports local and state policies that advance youth safety and inclusion, including anti-bullying and school safety measures, mental health and suicide-prevention funding, nondiscrimination and access to affirming services for LGBTQ youth, and public funding or grants for community-based youth programs and family support initiatives.
Primarily donor-funded through individual contributions, local fundraising campaigns, foundation and small grant support, event revenue, and community partnerships.
