The Livestock Marketing Association (LMA) is a national, member-led trade association founded in 1947 that represents and advocates for the livestock marketing industry, particularly local livestock auction markets. Headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, LMA serves as the voice for auction markets on state and federal legislative and regulatory issues and provides members with legal assistance, public policy representation, industry information, insurance products, and business services. It represents more than 80 percent of regular-selling livestock auction markets in the United States.
