The Louisiana Cotton & Grain Association (LCGA), founded in 1968, is a statewide agricultural trade organization representing Louisiana producers of cotton, corn, soybeans, sorghum, and other grains. Its mission is to ensure the long-term viability and profitability of the state’s cotton and grain industries by advocating on behalf of farmers, providing policy representation, and disseminating information on legislative, regulatory, and market developments affecting agricultural producers.
LCGA engages in state and federal advocacy related to agricultural policy, including farm bill programs, crop insurance, commodity checkoff programs, environmental and water management regulations, nutrient management, research funding, and policies affecting farm profitability and agribusiness operations.
Primarily funded through membership dues from agricultural producers and industry participants, along with related program activities.
