About the Organization

The Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA), also known by its Keep Louisville Weird campaign, is a local nonprofit membership organization that promotes and supports locally owned, independent businesses across the Louisville metro area through public education, marketing campaigns, events, and civic advocacy aimed at retaining money and jobs in the regional economy.

Policy Goals

Local economic development and small business support; buy-local and public procurement policies that favor local vendors; neighborhood commercial revitalization and zoning/permitting reforms that affect small retailers and restaurants; marketing and tourism initiatives that drive foot traffic to independent businesses; workforce development and small-business technical assistance programs.

Funding

Membership dues and fees, event ticketing and sponsorships, corporate and philanthropic sponsorships, small grants and donations, and revenue from marketing/promotional programs.
