Maine People’s Alliance (MPA) is Maine’s largest progressive community action organization, founded in Lewiston in 1982. It organizes members across the state around issues such as health care, housing, climate, labor, racial justice, immigrant rights, and economic fairness.
Progressive public policy and electoral advocacy, including health care access, affordable housing, worker rights, paid leave, minimum wage, climate action, tax fairness, democracy and voting rights, criminal justice/drug policy reform, and immigrant rights.
Primarily member donations and grassroots contributions from thousands of members, rather than a small number of wealthy donors.
