MassVOTE (the Massachusetts Voter Education Network) is a statewide, nonpartisan nonprofit that works to increase voter registration, education, and participation—with an emphasis on historically underrepresented communities—and to advance election reforms that expand access and fairness in Massachusetts.
Voter registration and education, voter access reforms (online registration, automatic registration, early voting), election administration improvements, redistricting and district fairness, ranked-choice and alternative voting reforms, poll worker recruitment and training, youth civic leadership development.
Primarily philanthropic foundation grants and individual donations, supplemented by small grants and program revenue.
Works in coalition with organizations such as FairVote, Common Cause Massachusetts, the Drawing Democracy Coalition and local CityVOTE coalitions; has partnered with Suffolk University; notable leaders have included Avi Green and Cheryl Clyburn Crawford.
