About the Organization

The Mayors of the Seven Core Cities of Hampton Roads is a regional coalition composed of the elected mayors of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. The group collaborates on issues affecting the Hampton Roads region, including economic development, transportation, public safety, resilience, military affairs, and regional planning.

Policy Goals

Regional economic development, transportation infrastructure, flood mitigation and coastal resilience, public safety, military and defense community support, and state and federal funding for local governments
