The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is Michigan’s statewide business advocacy organization that represents employers and industry groups to promote a competitive business climate, economic growth, and public policies intended to support job creation and investment in the state.
Typically advances pro-business legislative priorities including tax and regulatory reform, workforce development and education alignment with employer needs, transportation and infrastructure investment, energy and environmental policies that balance reliability and cost, tort and legal reforms, and policies intended to attract and retain employers and jobs.
Primarily funded by membership dues and fees from businesses and trade associations, event sponsorships and paid programs, publications and services, and corporate contributions to affiliated political committees.
Affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and local/regional chambers across Michigan, a Michigan Chamber political action committee and a board of corporate and business leaders representing member companies.
