The Michigan Pork Producers Association (MPPA) is a statewide agricultural trade association comprised of family farmers dedicated to producing and promoting safe, high-quality pork. The organization represents Michigan’s pork producers in Lansing and nationally, supports youth and leadership development, provides producer education on research and technology, and promotes consumer awareness of pork products.
Agricultural and livestock policy, animal health and biosecurity, environmental and sustainability regulations, food safety standards, pork promotion and marketing programs, and state and federal legislation affecting hog producers and family farms.
Membership dues from pork producers, industry events such as the Michigan Pork Expo, program revenues, and related agricultural promotion activities.
