The Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association (MRLA) is the statewide trade association representing restaurants, bars, hotels, motels and other hospitality businesses in Michigan. MRLA works to advance and protect the interests of the hospitality industry through government advocacy, education and training, workforce development, industry standards, and member services.
State and local regulatory and licensing issues, tax and business climate, labor and employment policy (including workforce development and training), public health and safety requirements, alcohol and hospitality-specific regulation, tourism and economic development policies that affect restaurants and lodging businesses.
Primarily member dues and fees, supplemented by event and conference revenue, sponsorships, training and certification fees, and program grants.
National Restaurant Association, local chambers of commerce and tourism bureaus, Michigan hospitality and tourism organizations, and leading Michigan restaurant and lodging company owners/operators.
