The Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) is a statewide grassroots farm organization representing nearly 7,000 members and promoting opportunities for Minnesota’s 24,000 corn farmers. Working in partnership with the Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council under the name Minnesota Corn, the association advocates for corn growers, invests in research on sustainability and profitability, supports market development including biofuels and new corn-based products, and engages in public policy at the state and federal levels.
Agricultural and rural policy including biofuels and ethanol promotion, water quality and conservation, sustainability and soil health initiatives, biotechnology, market development for corn and corn-based products, transportation fuels, tax and regulatory issues affecting farmers, and federal farm policy.
Primarily funded through member dues and corn checkoff-supported activities in partnership with the Minnesota Corn Research & Promotion Council.
