About the Organization

NAFSA: Association of International Educators is the largest U.S.-based professional association for international education professionals. Its mission is to advance international education and exchange, support campus internationalization and global learning, provide professional development and networking for practitioners, and advocate for public policies that sustain and expand opportunities for international students, scholars, and study-abroad programs.

Policy Goals

Immigration and visa policy affecting international students and scholars (F, J, M, OPT/STEM OPT), funding and authorization for international exchange programs (e.g., Fulbright, Title VI), federal support for study abroad and internationalization of higher education, SEVP and foreign-student regulatory implementation, recruitment and retention of global talent, and related higher-education workforce and research mobility issues
