The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) is a national membership organization that represents state and territorial Councils on Developmental Disabilities. Its mission is to promote and strengthen policies and practices that support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence, self-determination, and full inclusion in community life.
Disability rights, community integration, Medicaid and long-term services and supports, employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, civil rights protections, inclusive education, and federal and state funding for developmental disability programs.
Primarily funded through federal grants, membership dues from state and territorial councils, and partnerships related to disability policy initiatives.
