Description: The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) is the U.S. trade association representing cattle producers, feeders, ranchers and allied industry. NCBA advocates for public policies, market access, research and promotion that support a competitive beef industry and the economic viability of cattle producers. Type: Non-profit trade association Policies: Agricultural and livestock policy including trade and market access, livestock health and disease prevention, farm program and subsidy policy, regulatory reform (environmental and permitting), animal health and welfare standards, tax and labor issues affecting producers, market promotion and research programs. Funding: Primarily funded by member dues and fees, industry program contracts and assessments (including partnerships with beef promotion/checkoff programs), corporate sponsorships and event revenue. Affiliates: State cattlemen’s/cattlewomen’s associations, NCBA Foundation, Cattlemen’s Beef Board and other beef promotion/checkoff entities, allied agricultural organizations such as the American Farm Bureau Federation, and major input and beef industry companies.
