The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) is a national organization founded in 1944 to represent the rights and interests of American Indian and Alaska Native tribal governments. Its mission is to protect tribal sovereignty, promote the well-being of Native communities, and ensure that federal policies uphold treaty and trust responsibilities.
