The National Family Farm Coalition (NFFC) is a national alliance of grassroots farm, ranch, and rural organizations that advocates for family farmers, ranchers, and fishers. Its mission is to promote fair farm prices, democratic control of the food system, environmental stewardship, and policies that support economically viable and sustainable family-scale agriculture.
NFFC typically pursues legislative policies related to federal farm bills, fair pricing and supply management, antitrust enforcement in agriculture, conservation and climate resilience programs, trade reform, food sovereignty, dairy and commodity market stabilization, and support for beginning and minority farmers.
The organization is primarily funded through member organization dues, foundation grants, and charitable contributions.
Affiliated with member farm and rural organizations across the United States, and collaborates with groups such as the Rural Coalition and various sustainable agriculture and food justice organizations.
