About the Organization

The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) is a national trade association founded in 1896 that represents grain, feed, processing, exporting, and related agribusiness companies across the United States. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, NGFA advocates on behalf of more than 1,000 member firms operating thousands of facilities involved in the handling, merchandising, processing, and distribution of grain and animal feed, and provides industry services including arbitration, education, and regulatory guidance.

Policy Goals

Agricultural and agribusiness policy, grain and feed safety and regulation, transportation and infrastructure policy including rail and waterways, international trade and export policy, biofuels and renewable fuels policy, commodity standards and inspection, environmental and sustainability regulation, workplace safety, and tax and economic policy affecting the grain and feed supply chain

Funding

Primarily funded through annual membership dues from grain, feed, processing, and allied agribusiness companies, along with program service revenue from meetings, education, and industry services

Affiliates

Affiliated with approximately 30 state and regional agribusiness associations nationwide, and works closely with industry groups such as the American Feed Industry Association and Association of American Feed Control Officials

Legal Structure

Non-profit trade association organized as a 501(c)(6) business league
