The National Grocers Association (NGA) is a national trade association representing independent, community-focused grocery retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers. Its mission is to champion the independent grocery industry through advocacy, collaboration, education, services, and connections.
NGA typically advocates on issues affecting independent grocers, including fair competition, antitrust and Robinson-Patman enforcement, SNAP and food access policy, payment card swipe fees and credit card routing, food safety, workforce development, and other grocery-industry regulatory and legislative matters.
Primarily funded by member dues, sponsorships, event revenue, and related industry support from independent grocers and affiliated businesses.
