About the Organization

The National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) is a non‑profit professional membership association that advocates for the interests of Army and Air National Guard members and their families. NGAUS promotes Guard readiness, modernization, personnel quality‑of‑life and benefit programs, and represents Guard priorities before Congress, the Department of Defense, and federal agencies.

Policy Goals

Advocates for National Guard readiness and equipment modernization, federal funding for Guard programs and operations, military pay and retirement benefits, health care and family support, full‑time manning and training resources, domestic mission authorities and state‑federal partnership issues, and Guard-related personnel and quality‑of‑service policies.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues and subscriptions, conference and event fees, sponsorships and exhibit revenue, publications, and donations or grants.

Affiliates

State National Guard associations and state Adjutants General, National Guard Bureau (collaborative relationship), veteran service organizations and defense-focused congressional committees and staffs that engage on Guard policy.
