NIAC Action (National Iranian American Council Action) is the 501(c)(4) civic action arm of the National Iranian American Council, formed to build political power for the Iranian‑American community. It conducts grassroots organizing, lobbying and electoral engagement to advance diplomacy and peace with Iran, protect civil rights and immigrant communities, and promote policies that increase Iranian‑American representation and influence in U.S. public policy.
U.S. foreign policy toward Iran (diplomacy and sanctions relief), nuclear diplomacy and arms control, civil rights and anti‑discrimination, immigration and naturalization policy affecting Iranian and Middle Eastern communities, human rights advocacy, grassroots political engagement and candidate endorsement/education
Primarily funded by individual donations from Iranian‑American community members plus grants and support from U.S. philanthropic foundations and donors (examples publicly associated with NIAC include Ploughshares Fund and Rockefeller Brothers Fund and other progressive foundations); does not accept funding from the Iranian government according to the organization
