The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is the U.S. trade association representing the recreational marine industry, including boat, engine and marine accessory manufacturers. NMMA’s mission is to promote the growth of recreational boating through advocacy, industry standards, safety and consumer outreach, and by supporting the economic interests of its members.
Advocacy for recreational boating access and infrastructure funding; federal and state regulatory policy on emissions, fuel and safety standards; trade and tariff policy favorable to manufacturers; tax and incentive policies affecting consumer purchases and industry investment; workforce development and manufacturing competitiveness.
Membership dues from marine manufacturers and suppliers, revenue from industry events and boat shows, sponsorships and fee‑for‑service programs.
Major member companies and industry partners such as Brunswick Corporation (including Mercury Marine), Yamaha Marine, Volvo Penta, major boat builders and national/state marine retailer associations.
