The National Pain Advocacy Center (NPAC) is a Colorado-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the health and human rights of people living with pain. It works to combat stigma, promote equitable and effective pain treatment, and ensure that public policy reflects the needs of patients with acute and chronic pain.
NPAC advocates for federal and state policies that expand access to individualized pain care, protect patients from forced opioid tapering and restrictive prescribing practices, increase federal funding for pain research at the National Institutes of Health, recognize chronic pain as a disease, address medical debt burdens, and promote disability and human rights protections for people in pain.
