About the Organization

NetChoice is a Washington, D.C.–based trade association that represents internet companies and online marketplaces; its stated mission is to promote free expression and free enterprise online and to oppose regulatory approaches it views as harmful to innovation, consumer access, and platform speech rights.

Policy Goals

Engages on internet and digital commerce policy including online content moderation and First Amendment issues, Section 230 liability protections, privacy and data-use rules, age-verification and children’s online-safety laws, e-commerce regulation, competition/antitrust matters, and enforcement priorities of agencies such as the FTC.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues and sponsorships from corporate members (technology firms, platforms and online marketplaces), with occasional event and program support.

Affiliates

Major member companies and supporters (examples include Amazon, Google/Alphabet, Meta/Facebook, eBay, Etsy, Airbnb, Expedia), allied trade groups such as the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA), and senior staff leadership including President and CEO Steve DelBianco.
