About the Organization

The Nevada Bankers Association is the trade association representing banks, trust companies and other financial services providers in Nevada. It advocates for the banking industry at the state level, provides member education and training, produces conferences and professional development, and runs consumer-facing initiatives to expand access to safe banking products.

Policy Goals

State legislative and regulatory advocacy on banking law and supervision, consumer financial services and access to banking, fintech and payments policy, cybersecurity and compliance (including AML/BSA), community and economic development financing, affordable housing and small-business lending issues, tax and business climate matters affecting banks, and workforce development for the financial sector.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues from member banks and trust companies, event and conference fees, education/training program fees, and sponsorships from industry firms and service providers.

Affiliates

Member banks and trust companies across Nevada (examples include Bank of Nevada, Nevada State Bank, Wells Fargo regional offices, Valley Bank of Nevada and regional/community banks), national trade partners such as the American Bankers Association, and program partners including Bank On Nevada, SaverLife and industry education providers like OnCourse Learning.
