About the Organization

The New York Bankers Association (NYBA) is a statewide trade association representing commercial banks and thrift institutions operating in New York State. Founded in 1894, the organization advocates on behalf of the banking industry, provides professional development and education programs, and serves as a forum for collaboration among financial institutions.

Policy Goals

Banking and financial services regulation, state and federal banking legislation, consumer finance policy, cybersecurity and data protection standards, community reinvestment, taxation, and economic development initiatives affecting financial institutions.

Funding

Membership dues from banks and financial institutions, conference and event fees, and sponsorships.

Affiliates

Member commercial banks and thrift institutions throughout New York State; affiliated with the American Bankers Association and regional banking coalitions.
