The North American Food Systems Network (NAFSN) is a professional association founded in 2015 that connects and supports individuals working to strengthen local and regional food systems across North America. It provides networking, leadership development, training, research-based resources, and career guidance to food systems practitioners, with a focus on advancing equitable, resilient, and economically viable community food systems.
NAFSN typically engages in policies related to sustainable agriculture, local and regional food system development, food and nutrition security, climate resilience in agriculture, equitable food access, farmland access for new and BIPOC farmers, workforce development, and community-based economic development in food systems.
Membership dues, charitable donations, program sponsorships, and fiscal sponsorship through the Center for Transformative Action, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with Cornell University.
