The North American Millers’ Association (NAMA) is a national trade association representing wheat, corn, oat, and rye milling companies in the United States and Canada. Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, it serves as the primary voice of the North American milling industry before Congress, federal agencies, and international regulatory bodies, providing leadership, advocacy, education, and technical expertise on issues affecting grain milling and food production.
NAMA advocates on federal agriculture and food policy, including farm bill programs, grain standards, food safety and labeling regulations, nutrition policy, transportation and supply chain issues, trade policy, biotechnology, pesticide regulation, and environmental and occupational safety standards affecting grain milling.
Primarily funded through membership dues and contributions from member milling companies and industry partners.
Member companies include major North American grain milling firms and associate members that supply products and services to the milling industry; it collaborates with other agricultural and grain industry organizations and engages regularly with federal policymakers and regulatory agencies.
