About the Organization

The North Carolina Apple Growers Association (NCAGA) is a statewide organization founded in 1964 to represent and support apple growers in North Carolina. Governed by an all-volunteer board of growers and industry advisors, the association promotes and protects the state’s apple industry through research funding, marketing partnerships, grower education, and advocacy at the state and national levels.

Policy Goals

Agricultural research funding, crop promotion and marketing, agricultural education, pest and disease management resources, state and federal agricultural policy advocacy, and industry assessments to support apple growers.

Funding

Primarily funded through an annual assessment levied on North Carolina apple growers, as well as program-related activities and industry partnerships.
