The North Carolina Pork Council is a statewide trade association representing pork producers in North Carolina. Its mission is to promote and protect the state’s pork industry through advocacy, education, environmental stewardship initiatives, and public outreach.
The organization typically pursues agricultural and livestock policy issues including environmental regulations, animal health and welfare standards, farm labor policy, trade policy affecting pork exports, tax and business regulations impacting farmers, and state and federal agricultural funding programs.
