The Northwest Progressive Institute (NPI) is a regionally focused progressive strategy center and advocacy organization based in Redmond, Washington. Founded in 2003, NPI conducts policy research, publishes the long-form blog 'The Cascadia Advocate,' and runs outreach and organizing projects aimed at advancing progressive public policy across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
Typically pursues state and local progressive policies including defending public services and transit funding, opposing anti-tax/initiative campaigns, voting access and democracy reforms, environmental and climate protections, tax and budget policies that support public investment, and labor and equity issues
