About the Organization

The Northwest Agricultural Cooperative Council (NWACC) is a regional trade association representing farmer-owned agricultural cooperatives in Washington and Oregon. Formed in 2017 through the merger of the Agricultural Cooperative Council of Oregon and the Washington State Council of Farmer Cooperatives, NWACC promotes the cooperative business model, provides education and professional development, funds student scholarships, and advocates on behalf of agricultural cooperatives before state and federal policymakers.

Agricultural policy, cooperative business regulation, taxation, rural economic development, trade, credit and finance for cooperatives, and state and federal legislation affecting farmer-owned enterprises

Funding

Membership dues from agricultural cooperatives and related industry organizations

Affiliates

National Council of Farmer Cooperatives; member cooperatives including CHS Inc., Northwest Grain Growers, Darigold (Northwest Dairy Association), Tree Top Inc., and Land O'Lakes

Legal Structure

Non-profit trade association organized as a 501(c)(6) business league
