The Office of the Governor of Colorado is the chief executive office of the state government, responsible for leading the executive branch, setting statewide policy priorities, proposing the state budget and legislation, overseeing state agencies and programs, and representing Colorado in intergovernmental and public affairs to protect and promote the welfare of residents.
State budget and fiscal policy, public safety and criminal justice reform, K–12 and higher education policy, health care and public health, economic development and labor, natural resources and environmental regulation, transportation and infrastructure, emergency management and disaster response, regulatory and administrative actions, and appointments to boards and commissions.
Funded by state appropriations from the Colorado budget (General Fund and dedicated funds), supplemented by federal grants and other state revenue sources.
