About the Organization

The Office of the U.S. Treasurer is a component of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The Treasurer of the United States is responsible for oversight of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the United States Mint and serves as a principal advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury on matters relating to coinage, currency production, and related financial operations. The office also engages in public outreach and financial literacy initiatives.
