PA Stands Up is a Pennsylvania-based, multi-racial grassroots organizing network of working people and local chapters that builds political power through civic engagement, leadership development, and issue campaigns. It focuses on electing leaders and advancing a multiracial democracy that serves working communities.
Housing justice, democracy and voting access, campaign finance and reducing big-money influence in politics, public safety reform, clean and renewable energy, labor and worker power, LGBTQ+ rights, disability rights, and racial and environmental justice.
Primarily funded by member dues and donations, along with grants from foundations and other nonprofit grantmakers.
Local chapters include Berks Stands Up, Lancaster Stands Up, Lehigh Valley Stands Up, and NEPA Stands Up. Related entity: PA Stands Up Institute. Public-facing work is associated with PA Stands Up Political Action.
