People’s Tech Project is a technology justice organization that supports social movements and community groups in shaping technology to advance dignity, justice, and liberation rather than corporate or state harm. It grew out of organizing work at the intersection of race, inequality, and technology, and is housed within Movement Alliance Project.
Technology justice, civil liberties, racial justice, anti-surveillance, anti-policing technology, algorithmic accountability, digital equity, and limits on corporate power in the tech sector.
Primarily philanthropic foundation support and grants.
