About the Organization

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) (PC(USA)) is a nationwide mainline Protestant denomination that describes its mission as worshiping God, proclaiming the gospel, and living out Christian commitments through worship, education, mission and social justice. It is governed by representative bodies (sessions, presbyteries, synods and the General Assembly) and operates national agencies that coordinate mission work, advocacy, pastoral support and theological education.

Policy Goals

Typically pursues policies related to social and economic justice, racial reconciliation, civil and human rights, immigration reform and refugee support, environmental stewardship and climate action, health-care access and poverty alleviation, peacemaking and anti-war advocacy, and inclusion policies such as LGBT equality within the church; it also engages on religious liberty and interfaith cooperation.
