Progressive Mariposa/Yosemite Area Indivisible is a grassroots civic engagement group based in Mariposa County, California, serving Mariposa and eastern Madera Counties and the greater Yosemite area. As a local chapter of the national Indivisible movement, it works to hold elected officials accountable, promote progressive values, and organize nonviolent community actions, education, and advocacy on issues affecting the region.
The organization advocates for progressive public policies including protection of civil and voting rights, healthcare access, affordable housing, environmental protection, public lands conservation, immigration reform, social and racial justice, and opposition to policies it views as authoritarian or harmful to working families.
Primarily supported by grassroots donations, member contributions, and small-scale fundraising such as merchandise sales.
