About the Organization

Queer Power Alliance is a Seattle-based nonprofit founded in 2018 that builds collective power for LGBTQIA+ liberation by cultivating grassroots leadership, community organizing, advocacy, and trainings. The organization focuses on economic, housing, racial, and gender justice for LGBTQIA+ and QTPOC communities and runs programs on renters' rights, worker support, gender-affirming trainings, and community data to inform policy and organizing.

Policy Goals

Advocates for housing justice and tenant protections, economic and labor justice (living wages, worker protections), gender-affirming and anti-discrimination protections for transgender and nonbinary people, intersectional racial justice policies, community safety and access to health care, and local voter education and civic engagement to advance LGBTQIA+ rights.

Funding

Primarily funded by foundation grants and philanthropic partners, individual donations and fundraising events, and pass-through or partnership grants from other nonprofits and charitable funds.

Affiliates

Works with regional funders and partners such as Fair Work Center and Seattle Foundation, is listed as a Pride Foundation grantee, and is led by executive staff including Taylor Farley (Executive Director); formerly known/linked with the name LGBTQ Allyship in some listings.
