About the Organization

The Republican Study Committee (RSC) is a caucus of conservative Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives formed to develop, promote, and coordinate conservative policy proposals and legislative strategy focused on limited government, fiscal restraint, and traditional social values.

Policy Goals

Typically pursues fiscal conservatism (spending cuts, balanced budgets, tax reduction), regulatory rollback and limited government, strong national defense, stricter immigration enforcement, pro-life and socially conservative policies, protection of Second Amendment rights, and entitlement and welfare reform.

Funding

Operates primarily through member dues and House-member resources, with supplemental support provided via affiliated political committees, donations from outside conservative donors and groups, and in-kind assistance from aligned organizations.

Conservative House Republicans and their affiliated political committees, and ideologically aligned conservative organizations and think tanks (for example, groups that frequently collaborate with the RSC on policy development and outreach).
