SAGE (originally Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders) is the United States' oldest and largest nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ older adults through direct services, research, education and public policy advocacy to ensure dignity, health, and inclusion as people age.
Advocacy for LGBTQ+ inclusive aging policy, eldercare and long-term care equity, anti-discrimination protections in health and social services, HIV and healthcare access for older adults, funding and reauthorization of aging programs (e.g., Older Americans Act), affordable inclusive housing, caregiver supports, and cultural competency training for service providers.
Mixed funding including individual donations, foundation grants, government grants and contracts, program service revenue (notably SAGECare training and consulting), and philanthropic events.
