The Silicon Valley Employers Forum (SVEF) is a member-led, non-profit association founded in 1994 that brings together global high-technology employers to share benchmarking, data, and best practices for employee benefits. Its mission is to influence the evolution of global benefits through innovative plan design, education, research, and partnerships that help employers support employee health, wellbeing and family needs.
Focuses on employer-side benefits and workforce policy: health plan and pharmacy/drug cost management, global benefits design and compliance, retirement and paid-leave program design, family-building and caregiver support, workplace wellbeing and mental health, diversity/equity/inclusion in benefits, and data-driven benchmarking that informs employer-facing regulatory and tax policy positions.
Primarily funded by membership dues from tech employer members, event registration and sponsorship revenue, and fees for benchmarking, research and consulting services.
Member and partner companies include major technology employers such as Salesforce, LinkedIn, Yelp, Samsung and Seagate; SVEF also partners with benefits vendors, innovators and industry groups (for example ERIC and other employer associations) for events and policy engagement.
